Now More Than Ever, LinkedIn For Notaries

I went to my very first in-person conference with the National Notary Association (NNA) last year in Las Vegas (A-Mazing, by the way, and perhaps a little too much fun, if you know what I mean). 


In between sessions, the NNA asked me and Sandra Long, my co-author of Supercharge Your Notary Business with LinkedIn, to record a video session discussing the power and importance of LinkedIn for every notary’s business success.

Mission Critical

Having a professional appearance on LinkedIn is mission critical to your notary business, now more than ever! 

With the rising interest rates, and slower refinance boom, hiring companies are now cherry picking the best of the best notaries. They won’t settle for less because they don’t have to anymore.  

Having mediocre websites, skills, or directory profiles, will no longer suffice. Especially if you’re making a pivot to a different specialty line of work like estate planning documents, medical facilities, or even fingerprinting and officiating weddings 

Those clients don’t know you yet. And while we’ve been able to skirt by in our little loan signing world without paying much attention to our personal brand and online presence, those days are coming to an end. 

Your next ideal clients are going to demand more of you.  Your first impression makes a difference to them. These next level clients are used to a more professional approach to relationships and service delivery.  

Will you rise to meet this opportunity?  

And make no mistake, the opportunity is huge. Gargantuan, even. There is life beyond loan signings for the Notary Public willing to shift…and hustle.  

Your LinkedIn profile can act as your “master profile.” Optimize it first, then use it to fill all your other online profiles.  

Once you’re proud of your profile, find your ideal customers on LinkedIn and start connecting and engaging.  

  • Step one, get the Supercharge book from either the NNA here, or from Amazon here
  • Step two, read the book. 
  • Step two and a half, implement the lessons from the book as you read it.
