What Makes a Good Submission For This Project?

Let’s face it, y’all, the work of a Notary Public doesn’t necessarily rank in Adventure/Blockbuster movie level. So, we have to be creative and thoughtful when we write our stories. We aren’t creating a cure to insomnia with this collection, we are creating a pathway to connection and inspiration.

The collection of stories we hope to present to the notary world are all about the small, extraordinary moments we encounter on a daily basis as a mobile notary and loan signing agent.

We are in a unique position, meeting with regular, everyday people, when they need us the most. Sometimes, our appointments are lit with excitement as our clients purchase new homes, new cars, get married, adopt kids, and lots of other great reasons to be happy.

And, we also meet them, and their families, on their worst days. Our services are critical when it comes to estate planning, end of life documents, divorce, bankruptcy, and more.

The intersection of our services and those that need us, is a story.

These stories open our hearts, and touch, move, and inspire us (and others) to action. When you consider submitting your personal story, include the kernels of wisdom and principles that will allow your readers to easily recognize them and implement them into their own lives.

A good story is full of emotion, drama, vulnerability. We will be looking for those stories that are filled with vivid imagery, simple in form, yet dynamic and powerful in message.

The stories should be written in first person (because they are YOUR stories), and they should be in the proper format, with a beginning-middle-and end.

The very best stories are those that include some powerful message, example, or “punch,” that grabs the reader's attention.

This is more than a technical guide to how to notarize a document, or print out a set of loan documents. This is about the story behind all that. What has made you laugh? Made you cry? Made you say out loud, “WTF?”

Our audience is the Notary Public community. We already have that in common, so you have 4.5 million people that will relate to your story. Have some fun with it!
